Hi there, my name is Lillian and everyone calls me Miss Lillian. I am about 8 years old and probably have a touch of Basset in me since Im a little low to the ground. So while I weigh about 33 lbs. Im not very tall and Im definitely not fat. I had a rough start in life and spent a lot of time in a puppy mill situation living in very bad conditions and having lots of puppies, but my life too a 180 degree turn when I was rescued by BREW. Right now Im living with my Beagle sister and I get along with her great. I also go with her to her weekly playdate with a bunch of other dogs and I love meeting and greeting all the dogs there too. I started off staying in my crate when no one was home with me, and I used to spend nights in there too, but for the last few weeks Ive done so well with house-training that I now get to spend my days and nights outside of my crate although sometimes I go in there just because I like it. The door stays open though. Speaking of house-training, I dont really tell you when I need to go out, but as long as I get to go out 3-4 times a day I will only go potty outside. Ive not had an accident in the house in weeks and then only after I was in the hospital which brings up my recent surgery. I had a terrible hernia on my bottom caused by having so many puppies. My bladder, large intestine, and the part of my uterus that was left got twisted up inside the hernia, but with the help of a great surgeon and MW BREW Im all right now. Before the surgery I couldnt sit down very well, I had a hard time going to the bathroom, and it was really hard for me to run or even wag my tail. But NOW I love to run around the yard with my Beagle sister, go on walks so I can follow scents around the neighborhood, and I wag my tail all of the time! I LOVE my tail. I never jump on the furniture, but I love to lie by my foster mommys feet wherever shes sitting. I follow her everywhere she goes and she calls me her little shadow. However, when Im tired Ill put myself to bed which is this great bumper bed at the foot of foster mommys bed. She says that can go with me to my new home since its the first bed Ive ever had. I am pretty good at walking on a leash although I get easily distracted by smells and can spend long moments on one good scent so sometimes my walks can get pretty long. I can be a bit vocal if foster mommy doesnt put my food in front of me quick enough, but were working on inside voice. I love to snuggle. Sometimes foster mommy just lies on the floor with me and gives me hugs and rubs my tummy. She says I deserve all the attention, love and hugs that I can get.
